Hello, Can anyone determine this fly taken 21th September 2006, in the valley of the river Rhine/Southern Germany. I have gone through the gallery and the best match I can see is Thricops diaphanus. But I am usually wrong! Regards Ulrich Ulrich attached the following image:  [8.19Kb] |

It is a species of Sapromyza of the Lauxaniidae.
