hello flyforum,

This fly 5-6mm got rather big wings.
It remembers me a bit to Tephrochlamys sp.

Is this Tephrochlamys?

Robert, I don't think that it is Heleomyzidae.
My best guess is that you gave oversize (3-4mm incl wings) and it Scaptomyza pallida.

I had my doubts about Heleomyzidae..
This fly is indeed smaller, I had some difficulties to compare them..

It is not Scaptomyza flava or Scaptomyza graminum ?
