 Photo taken by my friend in a village next to a primitive river valley yesterday.
It oviposited on a hanging branch and individual aphids were seen on nearby leaves.
Can its genus be identified?

 Weel, Syrphini, maybe Baccha or Spheginobaccha, but I'm not sure.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
