 Hi,

I think this can safely be called Dasysyrphus venustus? I have had the female, and there is some black visible on the face.

I'm aware there is a possible species split, but that might not happen for years if ever.

19th April 2011,my garden near Lincoln UK.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
