Have you collected it? It looks very interesting, but to bring it to a species level is too risky based on a picture. |

This is indeed an interesting specimen! My guess is that it belongs a still undescribed species near Eumerus grandis. This species is currently known from a few specimens from Serbia and Croatia. A pity that you didn't collect it... Cheers Dieter |

In 70% alcohol please, would be best. But if you have dried specimens, that is also okay. The more males, the better, but if you have caught pairs/copulas of Eumerus and/or Paragus, then I would like to see them as a couple. Merodon, both is fine, but males is the best. Of the other genera both is fine. Of Platycheirus males are preferred, and copula. I also sent you a PM, Cheers, André |
