Hi, I decided to prepare photoalbum with all the pictures of insects I took this year. Those pictures were taken in Poland. Hi, Robert. Your Lygaeus saxatilis seems to be Corizus hyoscyami L. of the family Rhopalidae. Lygaeus has black lateral edge of its shards, but the bug on the photo has red one. It is very likely that Lygus rugulipennis is Lygus pratensis in fact. L.rugulipennis has often W-shaped dark spot on its scutellum or at least bifurcated spot, but never has solid triangular spot unlike L.pratensis. Hi Robert. Your Musca domestica is probably a calliphorid. The wings are very dark, and the abdomen appears to have a metallic green or blue reflection. I don't know what genus it is, but it's certainly not Musca. Tony ---------- Tony Irwin |
