Hello,
I think that both flies are Rhyncomya. Is there any chance for species ID?
The photos were taken in Greece, Island Corfu. For Greece I found the following 4 species in Fauna Europaea.
Rhyncomya cyanescens (Loew 1844)
Rhyncomya peusi Zumpt 1956
Rhyncomya speciosa (Loew 1844)
Rhyncomya zernyana Villeneuve 1926
Excluding R. cyanescens 3 species still remain.
The red eyes of the male one were shimmering in a strong blue.

Thank you, Marion
