A quick question from where to where do I measure the width of the head?

Thanks

Greatest width of the whole head, usually meaning from outer margin of one eye to the outer margin of the other. Only view Diptera have a head broader than the greatest distance between the outer margins of the compound eyes.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
