Barklouse (= barkfly). Psocoptera or Psocodea depending on what classification you like.

Hi Phil, so you have discovered Barkflies! Not flies though. I have found several species but not yet this one! it looks like Loensia fasciata.

Firstly, thanks to John, I hadn't realised some of these were so big; also Janet, according to pictures elsewhere it certainly resembles fasciata.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
