Larvae of Bibionidae

On the 17.10.2011, I found this larvae under a stone on the Lucretili Moutains (near Rome - Italy) about 1071 m on the sea level. The dimension is about 8 mm. Have you ever seen a larvae like that? Yes it is. It is the larva of a Bibionidae and as I see 2 posterior spiracular openings (it looks like eyes, but it is the tail) it must be the larva of Bibio. |
