These are French Guianan stratiomyids photographed by Stephane Brule - are they the same species - can they be identified? Smile

Yes, indeed Cyphomyia, and there are some lookalikes with this appearance, like auriflamma, banksi, bequaerti and sulcifrons. Maybe even more but I don't know them all. It's a female, males look quite different, without the yellow head for example.
