Hello!

Is this a Platycheirus female? At aphid colony in low vegetation at forest path (northwest Germany), about 7 mm.

Have you an other picture ? It could be a female of Platycheirus sp. (scutatus like) or a female of Melanostoma scalare Wink

There were many Melanostoma around that day, but this one seemed to have more rectangle like spots on the abdomen, not triangle shaped. I must admit: not very clearly visible...
