???? Interesting Dioctria. I don't think it is hyalipennis, thorax too shiny and hind legs too light coloured. Hips seem to be light coloured too. It might be linearis but that doesn't feel right. Tarsi too dark for that tooFrown.

It seems to be Dioctria bicincta (ID on a French forum) !!

as the matter of fact, it's the alternative to D. hyalipennis in the key I used : I misunderstood an element of this key !!

Thanks a lot for all your answers !! Wink

I thought of that too, but the hind metatarsi should be swollen and i couldn't see that. Would you be so kind to put picture in gallery? It is hard to find pictures of this species.

I add a more explicit picture (I hope so) for those hind metatarsi ! Smile

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
