Hi Today (4. vi 2011) I caught this nice Chirosia female in deciduous forest north of Copenhagen. If I follow Ackland's key to the British Anthomyiidae the fly runs to Chirosia griseifrons based on shorthaired arista and no crossed interfrontals, but the keys doesn't cover all the females of all the species known in Denmark. Does anyone know where e.g Ch. aberrans and Ch. latipennis fit in? It might of course be that the females of these species can't reliably be separated... Bodylength around 7 mm.
