Not sure about the bees, but I'd like to comment on the Hymenoptera.info suggestion. -
It's a great idea, but I don't think anyone should underestimate the amount of work that goes into creating and maintaining a website like this. Paul may or may not wish to comment further, but unless there is someone like him who is prepared to give up his time, then it won't work. In the meantime, we are fortunate that Paul permits non-Diptera enquiries on this site, as long as the thread is labelled appropriately, it's no real trouble to ignore them, and I'm learning such alot about beetles and wasps! Grin

Well, I will set all your minds at peace: I will not start Hymenoptera.info. If someone wants to, I can add the domain to my hosting account, but that is a s far as I will go. Grin

Hymenoptera.info. Perhaps in Belgium which has a long tradition of Hymenoptera studiesPfftPfft.
Offering images for use on the websites in Gembloux
http://zoologie.u...menoptera/ Universit? de Mons-Hainaut, Laboratoire de Zoologie (Prof. P. Rasmont)
Facult? Universitaire Agronomique de Gembloux, Entomologie fonctionnelle & ?volutive (Prof. E. Haubruge)
in exchange for identification might be the best start. See the long lists of hymenopterists at this addresshttp://zoologie.u...equipe.htm. But like Tony and others I am sure I enjoy Hymenoptera too and feel their absence from this site would be a loss so long as Paul is happy to include the threads. Robert

Perhaps Camille would comment.

I have been in the team for 40 years in Gembloux and during 35 years in the collections! Grin?

?My data processing specialist had proposed a forum PHP to me on Hym?nos to supplement my Web site but I am not good in data processing to manage this work! Sad?

?I also find that it would be not to continue Hym?no because you have a good team which answers.... I do not speak about mePfft! ?

?I can help or find other specialists if Hym.org starts! Wink?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
