it is a very dirty one and I would suggest cleaning it a bit. The shape of the anal segment reminds me of Solva and not Stratiomyid. Does the anal slit have teeth? Did you find it under bark? see also http://www.dipter...d_id=36497

I seems to have thrived as it has grown a bit.

Larva of Beris sp. (Stratiomyidae). The larva has a hair fringe along the anal segment, not present in Solva or any other Stratiomyid. Beris larvae cannot be identified to species level, as far as I can tell, some species are yet undescribed.

I found some larvae are very similar to these and I wanted to ask for your help to raise them and conclude the cycle.

How should I arrange them, like feeding them etc. ..
