Norway, 01.03.11

I found this guy under the bark of some firewood this evening.
The wood is of a long dead conifer I have had lying in my garden a couple of years.
I think it is some kind of cedar, I remember it had small cones and soft short needles.

The larva is 18mm, dorsoventrally flattened and inactive.

It looks like Cerambycidae larvae I have seen pics of, but mine is more flattened.

Also I have an exit hole in the wood with diameter of about 4,5mm, would the larva exit to pupate?

Looks like Rhagium, which fits the host plant as well Smile

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
