Similar to Thaumatomyia glabra but less colorful

The color and markings remind me of Thaumatomyia glabra but this version is in various shades of brown instead of brilliant yellow and black.

Length, 3.0 mm. In an open area near woodlands, West Virginia USA. Photographed 30 September 2006.

ID help appreciated!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
