Found these rubbish photo's in amongst some other rubbish photo's and wondered if this can be ID'd. Odd looking wings might ring a bell with someone who knows these flies. Size was only a couple of mm-ish.

Most likely indeed an Ischiolepta. I'd say the impression of abnormal wings is due to droplets on the wings.

Thanks Paul, I'd say you were right about the wings, I never noticed the water on them , that's what comes of getting my eyes tested after being down the pub! Regards Roger |
