Very small fly, I can't figure the family

I looked through pictures of Chloropidae and Phoridae thinking it might be one of these. Even Dolichopodidae crossed my mind though I don't think it was elevated. Length was 2.0 mm. On a squash plant, near grass and grass clippings, not far from woodlands, West Virginia USA. Photo was taken on 22 September 2006. ID help appreciated!
