Hello, I've been around in circles with this, and come to the male of Syntormon denticulatus. The antennae are the same as for the female I had, the only thing I can't see is the row of ventral setae on the mid femur as the focus has not shown them in any of the pics. It doesn't seem to fit anything else for the males. 5th June 2010, my garden near Lincoln UK. Size ~4mm From Igor's key.. Postpedicel 1.5-2 times longer than high, shorter than stylus; mid femur with row of ventral setae; hind basitarsus with weak spiniform ventral setae http://www.fortun...tormon.htm Does anyone agree? Thank you Igor, I didn't see it in the keys. Could the violet-blue/green one be the same species? http://diptera.in...d_id=35325 http://cubits.org... |
