can anyone suggest a species this Syrphidae?
I take the photo on 26.6.2008 Kokkola, Finland.

Difficult to say. We await clarification of the splits (or not) proposed for this genus.

No, this quite safely is pedissequum Smile
But a picture with the ventral side of the abdomen would give more defenitive info..
