hello flyforum,

This little (nervous) black fly looks to tachinidae to me, perhabs it is rhinophoridae ?

place: Diemerzeedijk (canal near Amsterdam)

Looks like Phania funesta (Tachinidae) but ... (and I know I always say this!) ... but I'd like to see it a bit clearer! Wink

It's actually a Medina. You can see the dust pattern on the thorax, quite characteristic. Impossible to tell the species.
