Another crane fly photographed today, 5-28-05 near Chicago. Really striking wing markings - these critters are suddenly all over the place. Relatively small for crane flies - about 15-20 mm. Edited by Bruce Marlin on 29-05-2005 03:04 |

As Paul already noted, it's quite similar, but different It's genus Epiphragma, but I can't tell the species... |
