No idea about the species though, if it is fron South Africa!

Most probably Eumerus triangularis.
Very tipical 'cone-shape' of the abdomen, hardly any long hairs on the body and the armature and hairs on the third femur.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
