Hi all,
just returned from an early autumn visit to the Eastern Aegean island of Kos. While photographing butterflies on the scrubby margins of the Tingaki saltpans I saw this distinctive beefly. None of my literature mentions it so I hope that someone on this forum may be able to identify it for me. Taken on the 11th September. Unsure of size but approx body length is 15mm.
TIA.
Steve.

Sorry Paul,
I don't know why, but I always have problems trying to attach images on this site. I've followed all the protocols. Both image and file size are below maximums?!
Perhaps it would be easier to look at it on my Flickr photostream here:

Cheers,
Steve.

That's brilliant Paul, many thanks. Super little bee-fly isn't it?
The file name has no gaps so not sure what I'm doing wrong. But not to worry, you've been able to provide a determination, which is the main thing.
Again many thanks,
Steve.

If you want to know what went wrong, send me the file by email and I'll check it out.
