Hi flyforum, This (to my early experience) Cordilura sp. - scatophagidae - was found into a wet grassland in the Amsterdam Woodforest. The fly is quite long(>10mm) and elongated. Antenal segment seems to be pale (3rd) and so are some mouthparts(see detail picture) plumosa arista. Some parts of the fly got some real blondish hair, for example the cheek-area. What kind of cordilura sp. is this? ciliata? robert heemskerk Robert Heemskerk attached the following image: [85.45Kb] Edited by Robert Heemskerk on 06-09-2006 11:59 |
