I'd say Tipula paludosa. It should have 14 antennal segments; if there are 13, it must be T. oleracea.

It's 14 really, of which 12 in the flagellum, including a very small top segment. It's easiest to count the whirls of bristles.

Thanks LouisWink Now I know how to count the segments. I think I shall use the bristles as you suggest.
