Minute insect (about 1mm), found in my bathroom. I suppose it is a larva (of a bug?) but am not sure. Thanks Joaquim Gaspar Alvesgaspar attached the following image: [83.73Kb] Edited by Alvesgaspar on 25-08-2010 14:12 |

Thank you, mwkozlowski! So, it is an adult insect. Could it be a Entomobrya sp.? |

I have contacted Dr. Frans Jassens who promptly answered: "indeed it is definitely Entomobrya. I have 2 candidate species: 1. E. multifasciata 2. Female E. atrocincta They are difficult to distinguish on habitus pictures. Were there any orange/black Entomobrya specimens found in the close neighbourhood? If yes: atrocincta, if no: multifasciata." |
