Hello, I read that M. compositarum and M. labiatarum were now said to be the same species. http://www.dipter...pid=113589 Is it possible to say that this is Melangyna compositarum? Feeding on Achillea, a few miles south of Lincoln UK on 3rd August. Woodlands and heathlands.
