Hello to all! This was sitting on a stone in front of my car (on a forest road close to a swamp), sometimes turning around or changing place by slow flying over short distances (a few cms each time). I think it is some Xylota species, but can it be identified more exactly without being collected? It seemed to me a bit smaller than segnis (which it is not, of course). 8.7.2010, Germany, Upper Bavaria, near Traunstein, about 650m asl Rupert Huber attached the following image: [120.7Kb] Best greetings Rupert |
