Photographed today (27-08-06) at Leerdam, Netherlands.
A nervous fly, runs fast and flicks it wings all the time. Visits flowers.

I agree. It looks unusually dark, but this may be just the picture.

The light was quite poor when I photographed this fly, I think that causes the dark look.
