Are those yellow wing bases? It might be a silly question but it's not Zophomyia is it? Or it could be one of the yellow-calyptered Macquartia spp. ... does it have 3 pairs of scutellars?

I don't think this is Zophomyia but Macquartia can indeed be possible. I must try the key (with not much hope Sad )

Thank's Chris

I'd guess it is Macquartia then ... 3-pairs of scutellar bristles is fairly good confirmation. Keying should be quite easy and the specimen is in good condition but I'd be happy to key anything if you sent me some stuff later this year Smile

I am not very good with photos - but give me a specimen and the key and I am not bad Grin

It is a Macquartia indeed and we'd need the specimen to say more

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
