Tachinidae - Solieria sp.

Another new one for me, fairly sure it's a Solieria and probably a female so probably no hope for a definite ID but thought I might as well ask.

It is a Solieria and it is either a female or a male pacifica.
We can't see the genitalia and we can't see the palpus, so there is no way to tell, I'm afraid (unless it is collected).

Pity such a nice photo does not apply for a good ID.

They tend to be fairly common where they occur ... it's funny because I have hardly seen any tachs this year Grin

You should head down to Devon, Chris, I've got loads - 13 spp. within half a mile of my house so far this year; and some seem quite common e.g Macquartia dispar. Even had a Gymnocheta which I've never seen here before Smile.
