Strange scutellum

I'm not sure what family this is but I notice it has a very odd scutellum with 'drips' descending over the abdomen. Seen in England, 15th May. Many thanks for your help.

Obviously Stratiomyidae - Beris has such inflated hind tarsi and also such scutellum (see gallery). So possibly male of Beris chalybata.
