ist Dilophus correct here? Any suggestions for the species? The photo is from beginning of april from western Portugal.

Dilophus is correct


Start collecting and we will be able to tell you more
This holds for all Dilophus except female febrilis.

Hello Theo,

thanks for your answer. Collecting is in the moment not possible for me. But the main reason for the posting was to get the genus confirmed. And I even can't recognize D. febrilis.

Then you got what you were looking for.
Sometimes people get annoyed if you state that ID from picture is not possible. That's the reason for my comment.
