Tachinidae - Carcelia lucorum

Seems to be Carcelia, and seems to key out as lucorum, using Belshaw, T&H and Chris's revised British key - or maybe I'm being overoptimistic!

It does rather look like C.lucorum to me too ... and it certainly isn't C.bombylans, which would be another fairly frequent candidate (because they tend to have a yellower dusting, especially on the thorax. Smile

It does seem to run to C.lucorum with the key, don't think its C.bombylans as it has a dark basicosta.

Nice pics, could we have the record data for the Recording Scheme database please.
