Femur black, tibia red, thorax and abdomen hairy (at least the front half of the abdomen), metatarsus slender (I think) - is this B clavipes (which is my guess), or B lanigerus, or yet another species? Found in Bilthoven (Holland), a few days ago. I have tried to use this key (http://www.nev.nl/diptera/Vliegenmepper1997-2.pdf), but I could not see all details I needed. clavipes is an autumn species. Given the darkness of the stigma (but difficult tos ee), I'd say it is johannis Theo |
