Hello, among these ones recorded here until 2002:
Nemotelus nigrinus
Nemotelus argentifer
Nemotelus atriceps = longicornis
Nemotelus cingulatus = lateralis = aemulus = pulcher
Nemotelus cylindricornis
Nemotelus danielssoni
Nemotelus insularis
Nemotelus latiusculus = cothurnatus
Nemotelus longirostris = gadensis = fuscinervis = pilosus
Nemotelus maculiventris = andalusiacus
Nemotelus notatus = balearicus = zernyi
Nemotelus pantherinus = nigritus
Nemotelus pullus
Nemotelus signatus
Nemotelus subuliginosus

I can´t find keys nor descripton for N. cylindricornis, N. danielssoni and N. subuliginosus; I´ve got Lindner´s Keys, is there any better book now or is it a question of looking for articles for single species?
Thanks in advance

Oh, and curious pic; it seems asymmetrical, beatiful photo Smile

Paqui:

I would like to bring your attention to Rozkošný's studies of European Stratiomyidae (cf. below). In Volume 2 you will find the information regarding Nemotelus. For N. danielssoni you will need the original description (Mason 1989).

so long,

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
