This is Oniscus asellus.

Notice three distinct segments on the flagellum as opposed to e.g. Porcellio scaber that has only two.

And yes, they are sometimes rather big and always shiny.
The english name Common shiny woodlouse is fitting.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
