Hello!

Now that most of the snow is gone, I went to my first photo excursion since weeks today (northwest Germany). Although only 2-3 °C and cloudy, there were many, many springtails (12 species!) active, but also some Diptera. For the first time I saw a Neomyia cornicina (Muscidae) and Limnellia quadrata (Ephydridae) on snow: http://insektenfo...adid=30774

On an ash at the forest border I found this 4.5 mm Heleomyzidae. Is it the usual Tephrochlamys?

Thanks! I guess, the pictures are not good enough to be more sure?
