I assume this is another variation of S.stercoraria. They should have a Gallery page of their own.

It looks like Scathophaga litorea. I will check later.

It is either S. litorea or S. calida, and I can't decide which of both it is from these pictures, though acrostichal rows seem approximated (that would suggest Scathophaga calida).

Hi Stephane I think it might be S.calida. Both are listed for Shetland, and they may also be the ones in this thread of a while back.. http://diptera.in...d_id=23101 Been bugging me for a while but I think the one with the dark frons is also S.calida.
