Hello, this ~9mm sciomyzidae is from october in Japan, from a small wood in the prefecture Shiga, near Kyoto. If I look in the gallery, the genus Sepodon is rather similar, and then only one species, Sepodon aenescens is possible. But is the genus correct? Or are there other genera which are possible here? I agree with S. aenescens. This was the only S. sp that I saw in Japan, and it was rather common around paddies.
