hi flyforum, This afternoon I found this fly in the Amsterdam forest. It is obviously greyish-darkened with braunish-coloured wings. The crossvein is a bit darkened and I see vibrisse in front of the mouth. I was thinking of Muscidae but what direction? place: Amsterdam forest date: 1-11-2009 Robert Heemskerk attached the following image: [150.15Kb] Greeting, Robert Heemskerk ---- WWW: http://robertheem...ndedag.htm --- |

Hi Joke, That's surprising I could ask you on the dutch forum. Phaonia crossed my mind, especially the wings.. Also thought of Coenosia or Hebecnema.. I have never seen this Phaonia sp. before. Thank you for your reaction. greeting Robert Greeting, Robert Heemskerk ---- WWW: http://robertheem...ndedag.htm --- |
