Sorry, I have no idea of its family. I took it yesterday morning in the wood of Lauzelle, Louvain-la-neuve, Belgium. It size is slightly smaller than Musca domestica. Anthomyiidae. Perhaps a Pegomya sp.

Thanks Lars! And if I add this view, is there a possibility to go further? P. testacea or P. bicolor? Olivier omattelart attached the following image: [112.6Kb] Edited by omattelart on 01-11-2009 20:44 ----- Olivier Mattelart | Nature Photography http://www.mattel... |

Despite your nice sharp photos, i think it will be difficult. We can't see the color of the palpen clear and the last tars of the hind tibia seems thickened, but not sure... I think Pegomya sp. will be nice for now (there are just to many "look a likes" Joke |

Thanks guys, I tried ;-) I will keep it as Pegomya sp., according to your good recommendations. Have a good day! Olivier ----- Olivier Mattelart | Nature Photography http://www.mattel... |
