Hi all, This small fly was feeding on Ivy flowers. The Ivy is above a roadside drain. Size a little over 3mm maybe. Very little info about these, could it be a Simulium sp.? I think there's 33 Simuliidae sp. in the UK. Taken on 13th October. A few miles south of Lincoln UK. Janet blowave attached the following image: [95.44Kb] |
