Looks a bit like Nemorilla floralis to me (humeral-callus bristles in the shape of a triangle + white hairs behind head) Smile

Humerus seems to have only 3 bristles in a triangle, no more, which suggets Huebneria. This genus has the apical scutellars erect. I just can't see them.

Oeps, there are more then 3 bristles and the apical scutellar bristles are not erect.
Seems Chris might have been right ...

Theo - your well-reasoned explanation is still more valuable than my (slightly) educated guess Grin I hadn't considered Huebneria but it is an incredibly rare species over here and I have only seen 3 in my life so it's still something that doesn't jump into my mind Smile

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
