This looks like a Chloropidae to me... any further ideas? Approximately 3-4 mm long. Caught in Houston, Texas, in October 2001. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Maria |

If it were a chloropid you would be able to see the large ocellar triangle in the dorsal view. It is not there. My guess is a lauxaniid but maybe Steve can confirm that when he drops in the next time.
