Hi, can anyone identify this fly. I found it in Bernau near Berlin, Germany. Terellia serratulae? www.insektenbox.de/bilder/bohrfliege.jpg Wilfried |

John apparently is right: the oviscape is short, and the flower head not tomentose; ergo => it is Carduus (not Cirsium eriophorum), and it is Terellia serratulae. This is the only Terellia I collected in Bernau.
