Hello! Dilophus febrilis was one of the most numerous Diptera in August (northwest Germany). Here together with a grey Muscid (6 mm) with a considerable bow in the M-vein. Should be easy, but I don't know, where to search. Does not look like the abundant (at the same time) Muscina levida, Graphomyia maculata or Musca autumnalis... Genus is easy to recognize : Helina-like spotted abdomen and bent M1+2 vein.
